The Seip 433Mhz receiver connects to separate terminals of your Marantec garage door operator so your original Marantec receiver can be left in place. This will enable you to continue to use any original Marantec keyfob transmitters you may have in addition to the new Seip keyfobs (and the wired-in pushbutton switch if fitted)

Up to four doors or gates can be controlled from a Seip keyfob (note: a separate Seip receiver unit will be required for each door or gate motor)

We have a Marantec Comfort 250 electric garage door opener with 418Mhz remotes and they both needed replacing but as they are no longer available from Marantec we ordered a Seip EKR1MCG remote control upgrade kit on Friday and it was with us on the Saturday morning! It took my partner 5 minutes to fit and worked perfectly! I cannot recommend this company enough. The instructions and information provided was very helpful and the price was very good. Most Marantec Comfort series garage door operators including models 130 through to model 252 are fitted with three terminals marked 1, 2 & 3 for an alternative remote control system to be connected. The Seip EKR1MCG receiver unit should be connected as follows:

black/blue wire to terminal 1 (left terminal)
blue wire to terminal 2 (centre terminal)
red wire to terminal 3 (right terminal)

You may have a wall mounted pushbutton switch connected to terminals 1 & 2, in which case these wires should remain connected in addition to the new Seip receiver

Note: If your Marantec Comfort series garage door operator has a green five way terminal block instead of a three way block the wires from the Seip EKR1MCG receiver should be connected to the terminals on the five way connector block as follows:

Connect the red wire from the Seip receiver to the far left terminal
Connect black & blues wires from Seip receiver to the second terminal (counting from left)
Connect blue wire from Seip receiver to the third terminal
(counting from left)

(the four & fifth terminals are not used)

Marantec Comfort 150 - 160 series

Installation Tips:
Some Marantec models such as the Comfort 250 have a detachable 3 pin terminal block which can be un-plugged to provide easy access to the terminal screws

If you no longer intend to use any of the original Marantec transmitters, the original Marantec receiver unit (grey box pictured above) can be unplugged and removed (see F.A.Q.)

For Marantec Comfort 210 the four wires from the
Seip EKR1MCG receiver unit should be connected
to the printed circuit module as shown right:

Connect the black wire to terminal 7 (with the jumper link)
Connect the red wire to terminal 5
Connect the two blue wires to terminals 3 & 4
(with the two wires from your wall mounted pushbutton switch if fitted)

Q/ If my existing electric operator fails, can the new Seip keyfobs be used with a replacement electric operator ?
A/ Yes - Seip are Europe's leading garage door operator manufacturer and the keyfob transmitters supplied with our upgrade kits are compatible with the Seip TS series electric door operator range and if you decide to purchase a replacement Seip electric door operator from us within 12 months of buying a remote control upgrade we'll buy back the unwanted Seip receiver unit at the original purchase price less 50%.

Q/ Can I use the spare button(s) on Seip keyfobs to control other doors or items around the home ?
A/ Yes - Seip produce a range of receivers to enable gates, water pumps & lights etc. to be controlled by spare buttons on the keyfob

Q/ Will I still be able to use the original hand transmitters ?
A/ Yes - by leaving the original Marantec receiver connected and attaching a new Seip receiver in addition, both new and old transmitters can be used to control a door (please note :- you won't benefit from the improved security of the Seip rolling code technology unless the old receiver is disconnected)

Q/ What is the range from which I can control the door ?
A/ Seip keyfobs have a range of approx. 75 - 100 Mtrs
